IRRI holds Media Skills Training for Senior Professionals

First batch participants
IRRI holds Media Skills Training (MST) for Senior Professionals on 5-6 August 2013 (Batch 1) and 7 August 2013 (Batch 2) at headquarters.

The workshop aims to help the participants to take control of the media “transaction” through intense preparations and delivery techniques. It also enables participants to devise a robust strategic position that can be delivered in any media situation; perform in a more confident and comfortable way in front of reporters, microphones and cameras; and, recognize how their voice and body language can help or hinder a media performance.

Aileen Garcia (PR), Shanta Karki (C4), Rowena Oane (PBGB), Norman Oliva (PBGB), Isaiah Catalino Pabuayon (PBGB), Jessica Rey (PBGB), Eric Reynoso (PBGB), Malikarjuna Swamy (PBGB), Lina Torrizo (PBGB), and Nikolaos Tsakirpaloglou (PBGB). Second batch of participants include Gerard Barry (PBGB), Bas Bouman (DGO), Glenn Gregorio (PBGB), Corinta Guerta (DER), Inez Slamet-Loedin (PBGB), Prabhjit Chadha-Mohanty (PBGB), Eugeniano Perez III (LS), and Bruce Tolentino (DDG-CP).

The training was facilitated by Andy Hitchcock and Andrew Ogden of Broadcast Media Services (BMS) in UK. The event was organized by Human Resource Services in partnership with Public Relations Office.
