IRRI holds presentation skills workshop

10 staff attended the Effective Presentation Skills (EPS) workshop held on 18-20 September 2013 at IRRI headquarters.

EPS is an 11-module program that aims to develop and strengthen the presentation skills of the participants. Such skills include planning the content, delivering effective speaking techniques, designing powerful visual aids, and gaining control during the presentation. Participants apply what they have learned through oral presentation, and peer feedback helps them to further improve their delivery.

Participants are Bernadette Avance (PBGB), Louella Bien Bagis (CIO-LDS), Aileen Rochelle Capistrano (ES), Joy Hasmin Delos Reyes (CESD), Imee Eden Di (ICRAF), Gladys Ebron (PR), Florencio Lapis (SHU), Michaela Glaiza Milagrosa (IPNI), Maybellene Mendoza (ICRAF), and John Paulo Valmon (EVEO).

This interactive training continues to receive positive participant feedback since it was held for the first time in 2011.

The workshop was facilitated by Ralph Guzman of Guthrie-Jensen, a leading management training and consultancy firm in the Philippines.

The workshop was organized by Human Resource Services.
