Media skills training held for staff

IRRI holds the 4th Media Skills Training for Professionals on 1-3 April 2014 at IRRI headquarters.

The program aims to help the participants in delivering a more flexible and responsive presence in the media and taking control of the media “transaction” through intense preparations and delivery techniques. The workshop also enables participants in devising a robust strategic position that can be delivered in any media situation; performing in a more confident and comfortable way in front of reporters, microphones and cameras; and, recognizing how their voice and body language can help or hinder a media performance.

First batch of participants include Jungie Amacanin (PhilRice Nueva Ecija), Sylvia Avance (Philippine Desk), Emily Bordado (Department of Agriculture - Camarines Sur), Glenn Enriquez (SSS), Paula Bianca Ferrer (Communication), Arif Hossain (IRRI-Bangladesh), Mohhamed Abdul Momin (Bangladesh Rice Research Institute), Sharlene Peralta (Communication), Elemarie Rosellon (Communication), and Charizabel Sapiandante (DO).

Second batch of participants include Ismail Abdelbagi (CESD), Sonia Akter (SSD), Jauhar Ali (PBGB), Karen Barroga (PhilRice Nueva Ecija), Paul Fox (IRRI-Bangladesh), Endang Septiningsih (PBGB), and Mariane Umali (Communication).
