First effective presentation skills workshop in 2014

Held for the first time in 2014, IRRI held Effective Presentation Skills (EPS) Workshop on 27-29 May 2014 at headquarters.

The 3-day workshop was attended by sixteen (16) staff including: Michelle Grace Acoba (C4), Bryan Balajadia (PO), Raju Bhemanahalli (CESD), Christian Cantos (PBGB), Ma. Celeste Dizon (DDG-MS), Walter Krystler Israel (PBGB), Verna Jessa Marcelo (GRC), Cheryll Myra Mercado (DHRS), Ian Paul Navea (PBGB), Neale Marvin Paguirigan (PBGB), Michael Angelo Rayco (DRPC), Jhea Solis-Pales (HRS), Ronald Tapia (C4), Katreena Titong (PBGB), Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy (CESD), and Hung van Nguyen (CESD).

The workshop was facilitated by Bobby Alvarez, Training Consultant at Guthrie-Jensen based in the Philippines.

EPS is an 11-module program that aims to develop and strengthen the presentation skills of the participants. Such skills include planning the content, delivering effective speaking techniques, designing powerful visual aids, and gaining control during the presentation. Participants apply what they have learned through oral presentation, and peer feedback aids in improving their delivery.

The program was organized by HRS Organization & People Development Services (HRS-OPDS).
