Automated External Defibrillator Awareness Training held for staff at HQ


The IRRI Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee conducted the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Awareness Training on 12 September 2014 at headquarters. The training aims to raise awareness to the IRRI community on what could be the early steps to take during a life-threatening event such as cardiac arrest.

Conflict management workshop held


IRRI holds Conflict Management Workshop in partnership with ​Guthrie-Jensen Consultants Inc., on 3​-​4 September 2014 at headquarters.

The 2-day workshop was attended by 14 HQ-based staff including Deacart Don Arreza (RMQA), Rogelio Cabunagan (PBGB), Princess Lilia Dela Cruz (ES), Rosalinda Del Rosario (DGO), Joyce Finegan (HRS), Rhea Gonzales (GQNSL), Jennine Rose Lapis (GQNSL), Patrick Lumanglas (PBGB)​, Jhoana Opeña​ (CESD), Julie Mae Pasuquin (CESD), Jastin Jocelyn Pacia (PBGB), Edrian Revilleza (PBGB), Margeorie Vasquez (HRS), and Gina Zarsadias (SSD).

​The training consists of nine modules focused on taking advantage of conflict as a positive force to iron out issues in the workplace, strengthen relationship, deal with conflict successfully, feel in control of one’s emotions and behavior, apply more productive ways to handle and manage conflict, and respond to conflict positively and skillfully so it does not interfere with one’s personal success or the organization’s business goals.

Basic Irrigation Training held for Experiment Station staff


IRRI holds the Basic Irrigation Training for Experiment Station (ES) staff on 1-2 September 2014 at headquarters.

IRRI conducted OCS End-User training

IRRI holds the One Corporate System (OCS) End-User Training at headquarters on 29 August 2014. The 4-hour training consist of four modules including 1) HR Module: Filing of Absenses, Updating of Resource & Dependant Masterfile; 2) Procurement Module: Standard Requisition, Warehouse Orders, Purchase Orders, Consignment, Internal Trading & Procurement Planning; 3) Finance Module: Statement of Budget and Expenditures, Travel Requisition, Travel Liquidation, Budget Process, Personal Account Statement, and; 4) Project Management Module: Idea Creation, Grant Management & Partner Letter of Agreement.
