IRRI holds the Preparing for Leadership Course on 2-4 February 2015 at headquarters. The program was facilitated by Chris Dixon and Lilian Wang of Growing Edge based in Hong Kong.
A total of 18 Post Doctoral Fellows (PDF) based in Headquarters and Country Offices participated in the program including Jessica Rey (PBGB), Shanta Karki (C4C), Govinda Rizal (C4C), Alexander Stuart (CESD), Alexandre Grondin (CESD), Hsiang-Chun Lin (C4C), Mohammad Akhlasur Rahman (PBGB), Maria Stefanie Dwiyanti (PBGB), Nyo Me Htwe (CESD), Janelle Jung (TC), Pieter Rutsaert (SSD), Bryce Blackman (TC), Tun Tun Ye (PBGB), Geoffrey Onaga (PBGB), Hedia Tnani (PBGB), Akshaya Kumar Biswal (PBGB), Vivek Thakur (C4) and Nitika Sandhu (PBGB).
The Preparing for Leadership Course was a follow-up program of the "PostDocs' Day," which is under the IRRI Leadership Development Architecture for PDFs. It consists of 3 modules: 1) Leading Self, 2) Leading Teams, and 3) Leading Resources. Target completion of the program will take place between 2015 and 2016.
The program was supported by Principal Scientist Grant Singleton and Director for Human Resource Services (HRS), Christine Croombes.

|How do I complete my 2014 year-end review?||In IPaD and PAS, as our 2014 performance plans and mid-year review are already there. Please submit the accomplished and signed forms to HRS by 06 March.|
|How do I prepare/complete my 2015 performance and development plans?||We are using the myPAD form. This January-February, please complete:
|Where can I get reference materials on myPAD?||You can check the guide to myPAD in Google Drive or in myHR.irri.org.|
|Do I need to record in the form all the feedback given by my supervisor?||Key aspects of your performance can be recorded on myPAD at any time though aspects that cover significant progress in mid-year and the actual results in year-end are the most important. myPAD is the summary of your performance. We encourage supervisors to provide feedback as and when necessary and keep a continuous record in a separate notebook where more detail can be included.|
