Jongsoo Shin joined as IRRI Myanmar Office Representative on 04 January 2016.

Dharyll Aquino joined as Junior HRS Administrator at the the Human Resource - Staffing Services on 04 January 2016. 

Brylle James Galang joined the Department of External Relations as Senior Assistant on 04 January 2016.

Jomil Cruz joined as Manager at the Talent Management and Advisory Services on 18 January 2016.

Mary Rosselle Cabangon joined as Assistant at the Zeigler Experiment Station on 11 January 2016.

Frances Grace Amanquiton joined as Junior Specialist at the Social Sciences Division on 18 January 2016.

3rd Module of Preparing for Leadership Training for Post-Doctoral Fellows Batch 1 successfully held at HQ


The third module of Preparing for Leadership for Post-Doctoral Fellows Batch 1 was held at headquarters on 13-15 January 2016. The program was facilitated by Chris Dixon and Lilian Wang of Growing Edge (http://growingedgelimited.com/based in Hong Kong.

A total of 13 Post Doctoral Fellows (PDFs) based in Headquarters and Country Offices participated in the program including Shalabh Dixit (PB), Nikolaos Tsakirpaloglou (GB), Peter Rutsaert (SSD), Geoffrey Onaga (PB), Suchit Shrestha (CESD), Jae Sung Lee (GB), Johnvie Goloran (CESD), Naoki Yamamoto (GB), Krishna Devkota (CESD), Vito Butardo Jr. (PB), Giriyappa Dawanna Prahalada (PB), Maria Stefanie Dwiyanti (PB) and Robert Coe (GB).

The Preparing for Leadership Course is part of IRRI’s Leadership Development Architecture for PDFs. It consists of three modules: 1) Leading Self, 2) Leading Teams, and 3) Leading Across the Organizations.

The program is supported by the Director General (DG) Matthew Morell, Principal Scientist Grant Singleton, Development Specialist II Noel Magor, and Director for Human Resources (HRS) Christine Croombes.

A welcome dinner party for PDFs was also organized on the first day of the program.
