Information Sessions on Changes in NRS-Philippines Pay and Benefits Held at HQ

The Human Resource Services holds 13 information sessions on the important changes in the pay and benefits of Philippine-based Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) from 13 to 20 May 2016 at Headquarters. 
The changes include introduction of the new pay scales effective 01 April 2016, and the contribution to PAG-IBIG Fund starting 01 July 2016.  The new pay scales will soon be published online. 

A total of 488 staff attended the sessions: 193 from Levels 1-3, 265 from Levels 4-6, and 30 from Levels 7-8.

Coming this June: IRRI Employee Wellness Program

The definition of “wellness” is evolving – it is an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence. In June, IRRI will launch a holistic wellness program for its employees.

Bloodletting activity to be held in IRRI in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross and Rotary Club of West Bay

HRS, in partnership with Philippine Red Cross and Rotary Club of West Bay, will conduct a bloodletting activity on 22 June in line with the IRRI Employee Wellness Program theme, Prioritizing your health.

The one-day activity will be held at Rooms ABC of the DL Umali Building where other health wellness seminars and activities will also take place.

Participants may register at the event's online registration form  available in the recently enhanced HRS myWellness portal. The bloodletting activity and health seminars are open to all staff based at the IRRI headquarters.

The 1st Essential first aid training course successfully concluded at IRRI headquarters



The 1st Essential first aid training course for the year was concluded on 27 April at IRRI headquarters. The Human Resource Services (HRS) organized and facilitated the course in partnership with Lifeline Rescue, IRRI’s new emergency service provider managed by the Safety & Security Services (SSS).

The training was attended by five HQ-based staff including: Rolando Agustin (SSS), Mitzi Alodia Asih (PB), Ryan Contreras (SSS), Caesar Arloo Centeno (CESD), and Brylle James Galang (DRPC).

The training focused on responding to cardiac and breathing emergencies (including the use of Automated Defibrillators), responding to common first aid emergencies (including burns, cuts, head/neck/back injuries), and recognizing and preventing cardiac arrest.
